The WinkBed is available in three firmness levels for customers. All three models are meant for different sleeping positions and body weights, so the two firmer ones should be a better fit for average or heavier people and those who like sleeping on their back and stomach.
How Does It Feel?
Settling into the mattress, most sleepers should feel the gentle contouring of the foam Euro top. Heavier sleepers and those who side sleep might feel themselves engaging in the quilted Hypersoft foam as it provides extra pressure relief and contouring. As you reposition, the fast response and bounce from the springs should help you feel less stuck and more mobile on the bed.

- Slightly higher price point – Although this hybrid isn’t the most expensive model you’ll find with similar features, it does fall in the more costly category — mostly because it features premium materials and is handcrafted.
Testing WinkBed: How it Performed
We tested the WinkBed mattress in different sleeping positions to see how it reacts and adapts to curves. This helped us evaluate if the bed relieves pressure or creates it, especially for people sleeping on their side. We also tested for motion isolation, edge support, cooling, and bounce to get the best picture of how the WinkBed would fit couples, hot sleepers, combination sleepers, and people with mobility issues.

- Heavyweight Sleepers – Heavyweight people sleeping on their backs need ample support to prevent the hips from sinking in too deeply into the mattress. The Firm version of the WinkBed should be the best option out of the three. However, the Plus version, which is designed with heavy sleepers’ needs in mind, might be even better for this group.

- Lightweight Sleepers – Lightweight people sleeping on their stomachs should look for a good balance of support and pressure relief, which is exactly what the Luxury Firm model offers. Pressure Relief & Pain
When you lie down, you’ll feel pressure gather in certain areas of the body, which is why you need a bed that’s designed with comfort in mind to help minimize that pressure. The superior pressure relief in this bed stems from both the soft gel foam and the pocketed coils underneath.
The cover feels plush and responds quickly to pressure. There is less sinkage compared to some designs, but both the foam layers and coil unit should evenly distribute your weight to relieve pressure.
Back Pain – People struggling with back pain need sturdy support, especially if the pain occurs in the lower back. The WinkBed features a Euro top with two inches of plush foam that cradles the body just enough to relieve pain and pressure.
Hip Pain – When it comes to hip pain, a mid-range firmness can provide support and pressure relief to soothe the pain and prevent it from increasing. The most important factor is maintaining a healthy sleep posture while easing pressure, and one of the three WinkBed models should help you achieve that.
Shoulder Pain – The WinkBed has excellent pressure-relieving capabilities that can also help with soothing pain in the shoulders. However, it’s important you choose the right firmness level for your preferred sleeping position, especially if you’re a side sleeper with shoulder pain.
Support
WinkBed’s support system relies on the pocketed coil unit. This not only means that the mattress should support virtually any sleeping position but that it will support you as you reposition, providing some bounce and quick response, so you shouldn’t wake up as often.
However, one thing to remember is that different firmness levels provide variable support. As such, the Soft WinkBed may not be as supportive as the Firm or Plus models. In addition, the support level may also vary depending on how much you weigh since lightweight and heavyweight sleepers won’t find equal support from the same bed.
Motion Transfer
You should feel minimal motion transfer on the WinkBed. The foams will help absorb movement, and incorporating pocketed coils rather than interconnected ones helps reduce motion transfer as well. A bed that isolates motion well is usually most valuable for couples, especially if they’re easily disturbed by their partner’s movements.
