What is the Nectar Adjustable Bed Frame Made of?
Materials
The Nectar adjustable bed has a metal frame with fabric and foam on the outside. All the materials are sturdy and give off a well-made feel. The remote is plastic and feels equally high-quality.
The good news is that many adjustable bed frames, like this one from Nectar, are designed so that they can work with mattresses from other brands, which means you shouldn’t have to also get a Nectar mattress if you don’t already have one.
Height
This base has an adjustable height, so you can choose between 8 and 3-inch legs. On top of that, 2-inch extenders are included for even more versatility.
Sleeping on the Nectar Adjustable Bed Frame
Sleeping on this bed is a unique experience as it includes multiple settings that allow you to adjust your mattress in different ways. You can choose a setting based on what you’re trying to achieve and your preferred sleeping position. On top of that, the base has a memory option, so you can program it to remember several settings.
We also liked the massage setting, which is included in the three zones of the bed. Plus, there’s a timer you can set for 10, 20, or 30 minutes.
What we don’t like, though, is the fact that you can’t use a headboard. This frame needs a free range of motion because it moves, especially during the massage. Although this isn’t really a dealbreaker, some people find it odd to have a bed without at least a small headboard.
According to Nectar, the base can handle up to 1,000 pounds.

Sleep Advisor’s Performance Ratings for the Nectar Adjustable Bed Frame
Support
4/5
This adjustable base has a weight limit of 1,000 pounds, which is enough to support most mattresses and people. One thing to keep in mind is that couples and co-sleepers, especially those over 250 pounds, should be careful not to exceed the weight limit. We’re saying this because the limit should include both your weight and that of your partner and mattress.
Durability
4/5
The base feels sturdy and durable, so you can expect it to last for at least 10 to 15 years. Metal parts are highly durable and unlikely to bend with normal use. Although the rest of the bed is made from foam and fabric, these materials feel equally strong.
Assembly
4/5
Assembling this bed should be easy and take less than an hour. However, you may want someone to help you as the packaging is cumbersome. The base comes in one box, and all you need to do is attach the legs. The remote control is already set up and ready for use, so don’t worry if you’re not too into technology.
Noise
4/5
We noticed some noise coming from the motor, but this is common and normal, given that the motor can’t be entirely quiet. However, this shouldn’t be distracting and is unlikely to make falling asleep difficult. Getting in and out of bed is also noise-free.
Ease of Use
5/5
Although it comes with many settings and features, we would consider this adjustable base easy to use. It comes with an easy-to-use remote that’s already paired and set up, so you don’t need to call your tech-savvy friend for this. In addition, all the settings are simple and easy to figure out. Plus, there’s a memory option if you want the base to remember some of the settings for the next time.
Shipping
4/5
Shipping is free for those who live within the contiguous U.S. Shipping to Hawaii and Alaska is available for a 150-dollar fee.
Sleep Trial & Warranty
4/5
Although this bed frame comes with a 50-day trial, you only get a 3-year warranty.

Our Final Thoughts on the Nectar Adjustable Bed Frame
The Nectar adjustable bed frame is easy to use and could improve your sleeping experience. The remote it comes with is simple to use and makes it a breeze to switch between settings. Plus, having the option to memorize several settings makes it even better since you won’t have to set it up every time.
Although it does look a bit awkward without a headboard, this is subjective and may not look as bad to you if you’re used to not having one. We also think the trial could be longer, but compared to other similar brands, 50 days is somewhat of a standard for this price range.
Overall, it’s a high-quality adjustable bed that met our expectations when it comes to ease of use, performance, and other metrics we checked for. Our overall score for this product is 4.1 out of 5.
